AUSTIN, TX
The Weaver, an Austin multi-family development, is situated on the shores of Ladybird Lake. met/gal intentionally utilized common areas to display local art, the collection paying homage to its East Austin roots and surrounding landscape. To capture and represent the history of this renewed neighborhood, we recommended a hybrid of color and double exposure manipulation of the local photoshoot of the Tejano Walking Trail, a historical yet underrepresented passageway from downtown to East Austin.
Equally as important to the developer was the custom mural that is the initial guest experience on the lobby wall, showcasing the natural wildlife of East Austin and it’s famous parakeets. Throughout the project, the intentional selection and commission of artwork representing the area’s past, present, and future effectively demonstrated the developer and designer’s brand vision.
