We’ve delivered delightful art solutions to many student housing projects. With each, we want the artwork to reflect the spirit of the surrounding university. Irvington and Fairview House on the campus of Butler University were no exceptions. The school is known for innovation which is reflected in school colors ranging from cool blue tones to warm, bright pink, yellow, green, and orange. This palette laid the groundwork for our contribution: Art that is youthful, bold, and authentic to the school. Taking cues from their motto Education, Research, Service, and the mascot, Blue the Bulldog, we used color and creativity throughout the site, crafting spaces dedicated to the students. Our own story is visible in the pieces created by the met/gal team, which enhanced the overall collection and allowed for a cohesive composition of artwork. Ultimately, our goal was to embody the overall design intent and make a place for students to love where they live.
