This multi-family building, in the heart of Downtown San Antonio, radiates a vibrant, modern, Mexico-inspired design. Natural light and linear design elements mixed with the use of bright colors and textured accents keep the space clean, balanced, and modern with a funky twist.
met/gal’s decade-long relationship with the designer allowed for a seamless process to create a budget-conscious art package. The placement of pieces in high-traffic areas assists in cultivating an approachable atmosphere for the current and prospective residents without needing a large volume of artwork. Our inspiration for the collection took root from the sharp geometric millwork and use of texture from the raw, natural elements that is reinforced in the various works.
These limited-edition silkscreen prints on paper are part of Alyson Fox’s “Shapes” series.
The statement piece of the collection is the black-and-white wallcovering accented with pops of green. We partnered with a muralist to create a 26-foot illustration. To create something client and location-specific, we utilized surrounding downtown staples like Hemisfare Park, the River Walk, and The Alamo and subtly sprinkled them throughout.
